1 Before Your Shift — Open the Scanner

Open your phone and go to this website:

www.senderland.com/scanner.html

It will ask for a password. Type the password your team leader gave you. You only need to do this once.

💡 TIP: Bookmark the scanner page on your phone before the event so you can find it fast!

2 Ask the Guest to Show Their Ticket

Say: "Hey! Can I see your ticket QR code?"

Their ticket is a square black-and-white barcode (called a QR code). They should have it in their email or on their phone screen.

📵 If they say they can't find it: Ask them to search their email for "Senderland 2026." If they still can't find it, send them to the Registration Tent — they may need to buy a ticket and sign a waiver first. See Step 3 below.

3 No QR Code? Send Them to Registration

If they have no QR code at all, they are not checked in yet. They need to:

  1. Buy a ticket
  2. Sign the waiver
  3. Then come back to the gate

Say: "No worries! Head to our Registration Tent and they'll get you set up right away."

4 Scan Their QR Code

In the scanner app, tap the big "START SCANNING" button. Then point your phone camera at their QR code.

Hold it steady for 1–2 seconds. The phone will beep or buzz when it reads it. You don't need to take a photo — it scans on its own!

5 Look at the Screen Color

The screen will change color. Here's exactly what to do for each one:

GREEN — LET THEM IN!
Their name shows up big on the screen. Their ticket is paid and valid.
WHAT TO DO: Give them a wristband and say "Welcome to Senderland!" 🎉
The screen clears by itself in a few seconds — you're ready for the next person.
RED — DO NOT LET THEM IN
This means their ticket has a problem. Common reasons:
  • 💳 Payment was not completed
  • 📝 Waiver was not signed
  • 🔍 QR code is not in our system
WHAT TO DO: Politely say "I'm sorry, I need to get a manager to help you."
Do NOT let them in on their own. Get a manager or radio for help right away.
Don't argue with the guest — just get a manager. That's it.
⚠️
ORANGE — ALREADY SCANNED
This ticket was already scanned earlier today.
WHAT TO DO: This is usually fine! They probably left and came back, or got scanned twice.
Check if they have a wristband on. If yes — let them in. If no wristband — get a manager.
Most of the time this is totally normal. Don't stress about it!

6 Repeat for the Next Person!

The scanner resets by itself in a few seconds. You don't need to press anything. Just wave the next guest over and scan again.

That's the whole job! Scan → Look at the color → Wristband or Manager. Easy.

? Common Problems

📵 Their phone screen is too dark or cracked:
Ask them to turn up brightness. Try scanning in the shade if it's sunny.

📷 Camera won't focus:
Move a little closer or farther away. Try holding it about 6 inches from the QR code.

📱 My scanner app stopped working:
Close the app and reopen it at www.senderland.com/scanner.html. Log in again with your password.

🙋 Guest is getting upset:
Stay calm and say "Let me get someone who can help you right away." Then call a manager. Don't get into it with them.

You'll need this the first time you open the scanner.

Get the password from your team leader before your shift.
Do not share it with guests.
